Just landed in the shop: The Bends by Radiohead - brand new and sealed!

Released in 1995, this is the record where Radiohead really found their sound. After “Creep,” The Bends proved they were far more than a one-hit wonder, with massive tracks like “High and Dry,” “Just,” “Street Spirit (Fade Out),” and “Fake Plastic Trees.”

Fun fact: the band had struggled with an overblown version of “Fake Plastic Trees” during the 1994 sessions, but after seeing Jeff Buckley live, Thom Yorke was inspired by his vulnerability. He later shared in the 2023 book The Singers Talk that he went back to the studio, recorded the final take in just a few goes, and even cried hearing it back. That’s the version that made the album.

Produced by John Leckie, it’s a cornerstone of 90s alternative rock and a must-have on vinyl.
