Now in store: Meat is Murder - The Smiths

Released in 1985, this is the band’s second studio album and the only Smiths record to hit No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart during their lifetime. The copy we have in the shop is a first pressing, making it a particularly special one for collectors. The album builds on the sound of their debut but pushes it further, with Johnny Marr’s layered, inventive guitar work and Morrissey’s sharper, more confident lyrics.
