Now In!

Just in and on the shelves now: Genesis - Genesis (1983)

This is the self-titled album that really locked in Genesis’ 80s sound, with Phil Collins, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford operating as a tight trio and leaning into sleek production without losing their darker, more experimental edge. It’s home to some of their most recognizable tracks, including the eerie, drum-machine-driven “Mama,” the punchy, radio-friendly “That’s All,” and the two-part epic “Home by the Sea,” which nods back to their progressive roots.

Produced by the band themselves, the album balances big hooks, moody synths, and sharp songwriting, making it a key release for both longtime fans and newcomers. A solid snapshot of Genesis in transition and one of the defining rock records of the early 80s. Available in the shop now.
